60s Easy Listening
I was sitting at the concert almost the whole time, pondering which other artists from this generation could fill the TD Banknorth Garden. Paul Simon came to mind as one answer. Large venues are no longer sold out by even Bob Dylan, who is considered the greatest songwriter of all time. This resulted in a unique and great experience, bringing easy listening and folk music from the 60s and 70s to the grand stage. Additionally, it was fantastic to receive a history lesson on the songwriters behind many of the era's big hits. Carole King was adept at sharing information on who wrote which songs, which ones were hits, and paid tribute to deserving artists.
